About me
I am an actor, writer, theater and multi-media artist. I love storytelling in all its forms. I yearn to tell stories that evoke questions, start conversations, entertain, and empower. I love to play with the marriage of live and digital performance. I am a proud Mexican American creator and hope to make art that gives voice to Latine stories and compels people to appreciate the deeper complexities of the human experience.
I received my Bachelors of Arts in Theater and Performance Studies, Media Arts and Design, and minor in Architectural Studies from the University of Chicago.
I have acted in professional staff productions at the University of Chicago: Ballad of Oedipus (director JC Clementz), The Wolves (director Ericka Ratcliff), Laika’s Coffin (director Seth Bockley). I also acted in BA projects at the University produced by professional staff: Drunk Tank Pink (by Emma Linderman), The In-Between (by Yifan Megan Zhao), Dealin’ with It (James Nielson), short film: Forever Hold Your Peace (Gwendolyn Laub).
I wrote and directed White Roses, a one-act play, for my BA Thesis. It was produced by the professional staff at the TAPS department at the University of Chicago. The production was performed at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts. I also wrote a web series titled Street Smart (under the teaching of Patrick Wimp).
I assistant managed The Ways of Necessity (playwright: Stephen Nathan, Director: Jon Tenney) for its staged reading at the 2019 Durango PlayFest.
I produced a couple of podcast episodes (under the teaching of Sarah Geis) that focus on sharing the stories of other artists - Scott Elmegreen: An Artist’s Portrait.
